Good and interesting discussions on how we can increase the productivity of Swedish SMEs. How is it going with increasing the knowledge of automation possibilities and what they can do to increase the productivity? How can they get good support in decisions? Should be a national program?
The SMEs are important and significant, representing more than 90% of the Swedish engineering industry. They work mostly with small series production, and have low and unevenly utilized machines. They find it difficult to automate with a stationary robot, because of difficulties in getting a decent payoff, meanwhile a fixed robot blocks machine, preventing manual access in the short series.
